How do I apply for an i9 Sports Association grant?
Just ask your local program director for an application or download one at this site. You can locate your program director’s contact information by entering your zip code at the bottom of the i9 Sports Association site’s home page.
What does the i9 Sports Association grant cover?
The grant pays for registration fees to play one season in an i9 Sports league. (Items covered in the registration fee may vary by location).
Are there any other costs associated with playing with i9 Sports?
The child’s parent or guardian provides shorts, socks, shoes and mouth guard* (most any type is acceptable and does not need to be new).
Who is eligible for a grant?
Any child between the ages of 4-14 who is interested in playing in an i9 Sports league with a parent or guardian who does not have the means to pay the registration fee.
Does my child need to try out for a team?
No. Everybody Plays in i9 Sports leagues, so your child does not need to try out. No child will ever be told he/she is not good enough to play.
Do I need to volunteer to help with my child’s team?
There is no mandatory volunteering. That way you can watch your child play instead of working at the concession stand.
Will my child participate in any fundraisers?
No. i9 Sports does not require its players to participate in fundraisers. The registration fee covers all expenses.
How often can I apply for an i9 Sports Association grant?
The number of times you may apply is up to the discretion of the program director in your area.
